Eucalyptus is also effective in opening air passages, which can be a possible cause for snoring. If the cause of your snoring problem is due to swollen sinuses, you may find relief with eucalyptus. You can add several drops of eucalyptus essential oil to your vaporizer or humidifier at least 15 minutes before you sleep can help in opening your airways and relieving swollen sinuses while you sleep.

Marjoram as Snoring Solutions

Marjoram

Marjoram is an herb widely used in cooking. What many people do not know is that marjoram has several health benefits and is effective in treating various respiratory conditions. If snoring is caused by respiratory conditions, such as nasal congestion, cough, asthma, and bronchitis, then marjoram can be used as a snoring solution. There are 3 different ways on how to use Marjoram as snoring solutions, which include:

  1. Marjoram Essential Oil – Just like eucalyptus essential oil, you will just have to add several drops of marjoram essential oil to a diffuser or vaporizer and turn it on at least 15 minutes before going to bed. You can inhale the aroma of the essential oil, which can help with your snoring problems.
  2. Marjoram Tea – Use 2 oz to 3 oz of dried marjoram leaves and steep it into a glass of boiling water for at 3 to 5 minutes. After boiling, let it cool and drink.
  3. Marjoram Capsule – there are marjoram capsules sold in many pharmacies and drugstores. However, if you are taking marjoram to gain its benefits for snoring, then marjoram essential oil and/or marjoram tea are more effective than marjoram capsule.

Other herbs for Snoring

There are a lot of other herbs that can be used in snoring, such as fenugreek, lavender, peppermint, thyme, chamomile and many more. You will just have to consult your doctor before drinking any herbal treatments to prevent complications and negative side effects.
